Retro Chic

Need some contrast in a modern kitchen?  More vintage for your vintage vibe?  Or an unusual and somehow perfect pop of color?

Smeg!  The retro little refrigerators make a big statement in a kitchen.  And there are tons of fun colors to pick from.

West Elm now has them on sale in their Market department!

I would love to do the black color in an uber cool masculine kitchen!

It's a "smeg"ashboard of options!

Check out my Pinterest board for more great spaces utilizing this little retro gem!

Classic Kitchens

I've been getting  a lot of requests from clients for clean and classic kitchens with a light traditional feel.  Check out a few of my favorite elements of the look and the little details that tie it all together!

Mixing finishes.  Love the gray painted lowers and white painted upper cabinets.

Add some glass!  A few glass front cabinets make the space feel lighter and more open.

Open shelving!

Molding to the ceiling.  It gives the overall look a more custom feel.

A standout light fixture.

Do go traditional with a modern twist.  Like this stainless steel apron front sink.

It's A New Year

I know, I'm a little behind..it is 11 days into this new year.  But, I wanted to say thank you for all of your continued support of Young, Broke, and Decorating and now SuttonHouse!  Cheers to the New Year!

I am definitely not the easiest person to shop for being designerly and all; however, I received these beautiful champagne glasses for Christmas this year.  Super sleek.

The entire collection from FFERRONE DESIGN is oh so mod...almost a work of art with the different colored liquids in each piece.  It was a very fitting gift as there is defintely something to bust open a bottle of champagne for this new year...I am out on my own!

Yup, that's right...officially Kelly Sutton Design.  Check out the new website www.kellysuttondesign.com!  Stay tuned...there's lots more to come from SuttonHouse & Kelly Sutton Design in 2013!

Project Decor Brands

Ok, have you checked out the Project Decor website yet?  Didn't I tell you there were some fabulous brands on the site.  So you may have heard of Knoll, Jonathan Adler, and Kravet but there are also some super hip brands that you have probably never heard of.  And they might just wow ya.  Hum, maybe you should have a look.  Could this Aimee Wilder Ikat Pixel wallpaper be exactly what you have been looking for?  Here are a few more fun finds of mine from the Project Decor website.  All of which, of course, can be purchased from my design shop!

Art Space Edition - Chelsea Hotel from British Glamour

Gaia & Gino - Small Mistic Vase Artpiece.  This could look so chic with the right flower buds!

And for the soon-to-be mom's...yup there are several baby & kid brands.  Nursery Works - Uptown Crib.

Barbara Cosgrove - Two Horses Lamps

Blu Dot - Knicker Chair.  Happy shopping!
